In the studio, painting is a continuous search for new challenges. In my own work in the studio the seeking and finding of new challenges is an ongoing process that is parallel to my work accompanying students in their artistic development.

The awareness of the needs and possibilities of the students and "the challenge of our times" forms the basis of my intentions here and the encouragement of the following qualities:

Sensibility and receptivity

Eagerness to experiment and courage to develop personal expressivity

Self-responsibility and capacity for descision-making

Capacity to objectify and to clarify one's personal point of view
